About Ray Morris
Ray Morris and his wife Myrtle commenced their ministry with SIM in 1962. They worked in Bolivia until 1979, teaching in Bible institutes, church planting, and were instrumental in the commencement of TEE.
In 1979 they moved to Peru where Ray served as Director of TEE, and they taught in Bible institutes, provided legal and administrative assistance and worked with women until 1991. During that time they were also involved organising the legal work necessary to open up SIM Ecuador.
In 1991 they headed for Chile where they were instrumental in starting SIM Chile, while continuing to teach and speak at Bible schools and conferences. Ray and Myrtle were seconded by SIM to the Leadership Resources program in Spanish in South America (APOYO – which means 'to stand beside and help’) in 1999.
From 2000 they have taught and trained Latinos for cross-cultural ministry and still continue to travel widely throughout South America, encouraging Christian workers and training nationals for ministry.
