Experience
we have 125+ years of proven experience in cross-culture mission.
Access
explore hundreds of mission opportunities in over 70 countries, including restricted access countries; we specialise in health, education, children and youth ministries, aid and development.
Network
internationally, SIM has over 4000 workers worldwide; we have hundreds of partners and projects in our network.
Creativity
explore new, pioneering, creative mission-ministries; we love innovative approaches to mission like ‘business as mission’ and mission through sports, drama and music.
Prayer
we pray for our missionaries by name and our home staff and hundreds of prayer partners devote special time every weekday to intercessory prayer.
Resource and Training
our induction program for new missionaries includes mission training and orientation, resources and promotion to help them raise their financial and prayer support.
Health Cover
as members of SIM, our missionaries are covered under our health insurance plan and receive discounts and benefits on a wide range of health services – if there’s a medical emergency or serious injury, we step in to help.
Financial Security
SIM tailors a budget for each missionary that includes set up costs, living expenses, ministry expenses, health cover, retirement savings and emergency contingencies; we monitor and review support plans on an annual basis to take into consideration changes in circumstances and exchange rates.
Pastoral Care
we assign a mission mobiliser to each missionary who provides pastoral care and support throughout the whole missionary journey; our qualified Pastoral Care Coordinator and missionary Ministry Team are also on hand to support our missionaries.
Biblical-based Counselling
SIM offers our missionaries biblically-based, professional, confidential counselling services by qualified counsellors should they need extra help working through a challenge, or resolving a conflict.
Crisis Management
each SIM field office has contingency plans in place to help our missionaries stay safe, or be evacuated to another location or country in the event of civil unrest, medical emergency or other natural disaster.
