Janet is the head teacher at Galmi Day School. This school is currently a 2-teacher school that provides an education for English speaking children of Mission Workers working in Galmi Hospital which is a SIM Hospital. The school caters for children from kindergarten to grade six and at times offers some support for preschoolers and the early years of high school. Student numbers can vary but they can be up to 18 students. Janet teaches and oversees programs of all the students set at their own level of learning.
 
Janet also works with local ladies, encouraging them and their families and encouraging patients when time permits.
